Sang Giri is a community-based trekking outfit run by guides from villages around Mount Batukaru. Their signature Batukaru summit trek starts at 2 AM to catch sunrise from the 2,276m peak, taking 10-12 hours round trip through pristine cloud forest.
Shorter options include half-day waterfall walks (Yeh Ho, Blahmantung, Sangeh), Jatiluwih rice-terrace circular tours, and Batukaru temple pilgrimage walks. Each guide grew up in the mountains and shares deep local knowledge — plants used in offerings, subak system history, spirit beliefs.
