The Bio-Rock project in Pemuteran is one of the largest coral restoration efforts on Earth — over 100 metal-frame structures anchored just offshore, running low electric currents to accelerate coral growth. After 20+ years, they're now covered in living coral colonies teeming with fish.
You can snorkel over the structures directly from Pemuteran beach — no boat needed. Best visibility during dry season (April-October). The project won the UN Equator Prize for community-based conservation.
