📍 Lovina Beach, Buleleng
Every morning at 6 AM, traditional wooden jukung boats depart from Lovina beach carrying visitors on the search for wild spinner dolphins. The dolphins gather in pods of 50-200 in the calm waters 2-3 km offshore, often putting on acrobatic displays as the sun rises over Mount Agung in the distance.
The traditional boat trip takes 2-3 hours. Dolphins are seen most mornings — best October to April. Local boat operators follow ethical guidelines (no chasing, safe distances). Family-friendly. Warm clothes recommended for pre-dawn departure.
